Sony on Tuesday introduced 3D TV in India. Its based on new LED technology.
“Indian consumers today have become all the more technology savvy and with the launch of new technologies like 3D, Internet TV and LED, we want to ensure that they get nothing but the best,” said Sony India Managing Director Masaru Tamagawa. “Sony is confident that it will be able to achieve the targets based on three strong pillars of technology, picture quality and design. We plan to usher new heights in the LCD TV segment with plans to capture 30 per cent of the total market share,” he added. The 3D displays from Samsung available in early April.

On Tuesday, Samsung showed the press his new series of screens full HD LED3D, the ones we saw at CES. The Korean brand will be the first to market models with the 3D (active glasses) and that from the beginning of April. The C7700 Series includes 3 models of 40 ", 46" and 55 "respectively for 1800 €, 2300 € to 3000 €. As for the C8700 seriesIt includes 4 models of 40 ", 46", 55 "and 65" with respective price of 2000 €, 2500 €, 3500 € and 5500 €. What is not explicitly stated, is that when you purchase, there will be no glasses included with the TV, you will need to be purchased separately. Three models will be offered by Samsung and offer a range of about 50h, the SSG-2200AR with rechargeable battery costs 150 €, the SSG-2200KR child also with rechargeable battery costs 100 € and finally, the SSG-2100AB cell costs 100 €. If we made a quick calculation reveals that the 3D has a price and still not addressed to anyone, when you see the number of available 3D content, there is much to wonder!

Panasonic also ready to launch

Panasonic, makers of the popular Viera HDTV line, announced that its new 3D TVs will go on sale in the United States later this week.
The new VT25 plasma HDTVs will arrive this Wednesday, as part of a joint promotion with Best Buy. The launch event will take place at Best Buy's Union Square store in New York City, and Best Buy will have demo units at hundreds of stores across the country, according to Engadget.
According to reports, one new model, a 50-inch 3D set (with included Blu-Ray player and 3D glasses), will cost around 1,800 € at launch. That's roughly 1,500 € less than its price in Japan. The lower price stateside is to help Panasonic reach its goal of selling 1 million 3DTVs this fiscal year.
Glasses use for viewing the 3D experience.
Glasses getting from theatre can't use for your 3D television. Polarizing filters are used in glasses to experience the 3D effect in theatres. In 3D television glasses also using these polarizing filters but you can't use the theatre glasses for 3D television. You have to use the micro-shutter glasses that actually open and close shutters on a very rapid basis to give you the 3D effect. And those glasses are expensive.
By this coming holiday season, its likely you will be able to buy a 3D TV for just slightly more than you are paying for a flat panel television today. But if you need additional family members to be able to view it, the cost is going to be something that you are going to have to step up to.
