Android on iPod touch, it happens

After being invited on the iPhone 2G and 3G , Android will soon land on iPod touch , if one believes the blog Linux On The iPhone. The authors of this port, however, indicate that more work was carried out on drivers multi-touch, on the WLAN and the sound.
Finally, this port should be available the same day as the port for iPhone 3G (because no, this version, even if it is advanced, is still not really functional).

PayPal, an alternative to Google

At a meeting in Amsterdam, Dennis van Allermeersch (manager Pal Benelux) has announced the entry of payment Paypal iPhone and Android.

This system does not allow a first time purchase applications. It would be set up to provide "services" on smartphones (Payment of a concert ticket example).

Paypal could be available during the second quarter 2010 on Iphone in the first place.

One might consider, then, Paypal as a payment method alternative to Google Checkout (and Itunes on the Iphone).

Would you be willing to use the leaves to move from a service made in Google ?

thanks to Engadget, we know a little more about the features of the phone. Features Dell officially known Aero

Android on an iPhone

That's right. Apparently, they have managed to install Android on an iPhone 2G. Since this phone may not be specifically updated to iPhone OS 4, is an interesting way to experiment with this phone (which is 3 years!)
Given the limitations of hardware and probably bugs that are still present in this hack, Android does not run very well, they say, with remarkable slowness in certain tasks and, of course, functions that we can not access because the iPhone has a single button, against the four standard buttons Android.

The interesting thing is that it has "dual boot", which basically allows us to launch the iPhone OS, Android or a reset of the phone.
No version available, or instructions to do so, but probably see them soon. So if you were giving up with the 2G iPhone, here's a fun project to experiment with this smartphone!

Adobe and Flash will recent Android

After numerous setbacks between Adobe and Apple regarding the introduction of Flash on theiPhoneand the announcement by the firm at the apple that the general conditions attached to the 4th version of theOS would not accept his mobile more than applications developed in C, C + + and Objective-C, it seems that the point of no return between the 2 giants has finally been reached.

In fact, Mike Chambers, the man in charge of managing relationships for Flash developers split open there is little a note on his blog showing its impatience with the behavior ofApple, and indicates thatAdobe decided to work jointly with Google to provide its fast Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR 2.0 on Android. And finally let drop theiPhone and its rules loaded.

Good news for admirers of theOS mobile Google. A slightly less good news for those down on the side of Apple...

Android as your TV

Android in all units! This is happening with the OS from Google, rather the basis for the mobile, but is found everywhere (computers, appliances, auto ...) and soon on your TV. Google has indeed signed a partnership, the New York Times, Sony (TV), Intel (hardware) and Logitech (accessories) for a project called "Android Internet platform (Google TV). This would be deployed on TV, Blu-ray and other Set-Top Box to have an interface and common applications, all running with an Intel processor and with a remote keyboard Logitech signed.

Source code released by Google Remail!!

Google had bought Remail, one of the best managers mail on iPhone.

They are now even stronger: the source code of the application Remail is licensed under Apache 2.0.

This source compiled for iPhone with XCode, will then become a gold mine that will need to understand and use the IMAP protocol. And above all will give a very good basis for who wants to develop its equivalent for our favorite platform: Android of course!

So? Who will be the first to focus on Android Remail?
