3G services and HSPA Broadband services will be available for both, prepaid and postpaid customers of BSNL from 20th Feb.
With the help of the new technology, mobile subscribers will be able to use a plethora of new services, which has been just talked about so far. One of the most important features for 3G services is video services. Other includes rich voice and data services. Along with all of these, mobile users who opt for the soon-to-be launched service can avail a wide range of new features.
3G services and HSPA Broadband services will be available for both, prepaid and postpaid customers of BSNL from 20th Feb. In case of Prepaid connections, the starter pack will be available for Rs59 which includes the 3G SIM card. However, after activation of the SIM card, customers has to recharge with FRC-120 plan for availing 3G rates to make calls and data usage. This recharge will allow the users to make local voice and video calls at an unbelievable rate of 30p/min and for STD video calls, at a rate of 50p/min. 3G services will enable the users to use high-speed internet on their mobile phones and even make video calls and use mobile TV facility.
3G services of BSNL is already present in about 240 cities across the country. So this announcement comes as a relief for those in Karnataka who can use this facility now. For more information on 3G services, BSNL customers can dial 94000 24365(Toll-Free) and non-BSNL customers can dial 94480 24365.
Plans available for the 3G services in Bangalore are,
1.There will be two pre paid plans : 3G 120 General and 3G 120 Promo Plan
All post paid plans of 2G and 3G services are common. Customer has to pay an additional fixed monthly charge of Rs. 25 to avail 3G services.
2. For the existing 2G pre paid subscribers from all plans, BSNL is allowing free conversion to 3G 120 General pre paid plan by sending SMS “M3G120” to 53733.
3.For all pre paid and post paid plans data download charges are only 1 paise for 10 kbps
4.In case of free migration from 2G to 3G, the customer may continue with the existing 2 G sim (32 K) without any charge or opt for new sim with higher memory capacity (128 K/256 k) with Rs. 59
