Android's Touch screen Analysis

The Nexus One's Touch sensor suffered from some problems when two points are crossed. The nexus one sulphurize therefore a hardware limitation. The Nexus One touchscreen is not “broken” – it just suffers from a hardware limitation we were not aware of and did not perform as we expected.

The technology used by the Nexus One comes from the company Synaptics known for his many technical prowess with multitouch. The Nexus One uses the same technology as the HTC Dream that is ClearPad 2000 that has the ability to recognize two points and gestures as "pinch to zoom '...

For now the problems are not felt when using the "pinch to zoom 'recently integrated into applications Navigator, Gallery, and Maps in the latest update over the air.

The question has been raised on the Android Developers forum, this question Dianne Hackborn framework Android engineer responded:

"This has nothing to do with the Android platform. "
The Motorola Droid / Milestone has a different touch sensor and includes a "special code" that is why it performs better than the NexusOne.

What might this special code? Can it be portable and usable on the Nexus One? Steve Klondike (cyanogen) has dug in the source and obtained the following findings:

"Interestingly, there is a hack in the framework (which is enabled on the Droid, but not on the Nexus One) that can be activated via config_filterTouchEvents."

It is therefore possible to partially correct the problem of screen Nexus One.

When I spoke of achievements I was talking about it among others, Synaptics has developed a technology that ensures the recognition of 10-finger gestures and very advanced!
